Atharva A Baldota

Computer Science graduate who plans, tests and refines practical software, with AI as a working partner.

Pune, Maharashtra, India. Postgraduate in Generative AI & Machine Learning (Edureka, completed October 2026).

About

I have a Bachelor of Computer Science (Savitribai Phule Pune University, 2023) and a postgraduate program in Generative AI and Machine Learning. I am interested in emerging technology and in using AI-assisted problem-solving to build practical software.

My hands-on experience comes from VittaFide, a personal project. There I worked on technology research, requirements analysis, workflow planning, problem-solving and software testing, and explored practical ways to meet the project's requirements. I am looking for entry-level technology opportunities where I can keep learning on real work.

How I work

Areas where I have practical, hands-on experience from building and testing VittaFide. They are working skills, not claims of expert-level proficiency.

Technology research and solution exploration
Comparing options and approaches before settling on a direction.
Requirements analysis and feature planning
Turning an idea into a clear, scoped list of features.
User workflow planning
Mapping step-by-step flows such as making a bill, taking a payment and recording credit.
AI-assisted problem-solving
Using AI assistance to work through problems, then checking the results myself.
Prompt design and iterative refinement
Writing clear instructions and improving them over several rounds.
Development support and code-generation assistance
Guiding AI-assisted code generation as part of the development workflow.
Technical issue investigation and debugging
Narrowing down what is going wrong, and confirming the fix on a real device.
Edge-case analysis and software testing
Hands-on testing on physical Android devices, including unusual inputs and limits.
Git and GitHub for version control
Keeping a tracked history of changes to a project.

Featured project

VittaFide: Billing & Khata

An offline-first Android app for small Indian shops. It brings billing, a digital customer credit ledger (the Khata, a shopkeeper's record of udhar, or credit) and stock tracking into one app.

My contribution

  • Researched technology options for the app.
  • Defined requirements and planned features and user workflows.
  • Explored business logic, such as how bills, partial payments and customer dues should behave.
  • Investigated and debugged technical issues.
  • Analysed edge cases and tested the app on physical Android devices.

How it was built

Development was supported through AI-assisted workflows: I wrote prompts, reviewed the output and refined it step by step. I am not presenting VittaFide as an app I engineered entirely by myself. My part was the research, planning, direction, investigation and testing.

Product walkthrough

A 1 minute 8 second promotional video that walks through the app's main features.

What the app does

Based on the VittaFide v2.3.0 feature guide, which states that each behaviour was checked against that version. The last column shows where I can show it on this page.

AreaWhat it doesShown in
BillingItemised bills paid in cash or UPI, with any balance recorded as udhar. Bills can be shared as a PDF on WhatsApp or printed on a Bluetooth thermal printer.Screens, video
Sell by amountFor loose goods sold by weight or volume, the shopkeeper types the amount the customer pays and the app works out the quantity.Screens, video
Digital KhataA ledger for each customer. Payments clear the oldest dues first. It can share a PDF statement and send a WhatsApp payment reminder.Screens, video
Trust Score and Vasool RajaA 0 to 100 score for each customer, worked out on the phone from their payment history, and a list that ranks whom to chase first.Screens, video
Shop typesAt setup a shop picks Kirana, Retail, Food & Cafe or General. The choice changes the screens and shortcuts, for example tables and takeaway tokens for Food & Cafe.Screens, video
Stock and alertsOptional stock counting, restock and damage records, packs such as Box, and low-stock and expiry alerts. Stock that expires first is sold first.Screens, video
Apna CAInsights calculated on the phone: a business health score, a seven-day cash flow forecast, spending breakdown and plain-language advice.Screens, video
Privacy and backupsNo internet permission, an encrypted on-device database and a PIN or fingerprint lock. A device backup is made nightly and kept for 7 days, and a portable backup moves data to a new phone.Screens, video
Returns, held bills and expensesTake items back from a saved bill and refund the customer, hold a half-finished bill for later, and record shop expenses.Feature guide only
